RubbAir--the standard of excellence in impact doors... Since 1952, RubbAir Door has provided users in the following industries: supermarkets, retail stores, restaurants, commercial and institutional buildings, pharmaceutical processing, manufacturing and processing plants, warehouses, distribution centers, and coolers and cold storage facilities. RubbAir Doors has provided these businesses with double-acting, shock-absorbing traffic doors of exceptional durability, reliability, and economy. With their built-to-last patented construction, low maintenance, bump-open/self-closing operation, and easy to clean style, RubbAir Doors offer unsurpassed value.
RubbAir custom manufactures each door to precisely fit the opening dimensions of each application within 1/8" tolerance. To ensure that the doors not only meet the dimensional requirements but also the application needs, there are a wide variety of optional features which allow the customer to tailor each door to the specific requirements of their opening.
RubbAir Doors are economical. By facilitating the flow of traffic, whether it be stocking carts or forklifts, and by reducing energy loss between separated environments, RubbAir traffic doors help organizations save time and money. These doors allow efficient movement of people and product and minimize costs associated with energy loss in controlled environments.
All RubbAir Doors are engineered to exceed the functional requirements necessitated by each application. Full thickness doors are built upon structural sub-frames and are equipped with heavy duty, full-height hinges for additional reinforcement. Standard features on all full thickness doors, such as duel pane vision panels, full perimeter seals for positive closure, full foam insulation, and heavy duty design enhancements that make RubbAir the preeminent traffic door.
Throughout the world, RubbAir doors have been utilized for decades by tens of thousands of organizations in numerous and diverse applications. The V-cam hardware, used on most RubbAir Doors, was conceptualized and created over forty years ago by Oliver Eckel, RubbAir Doors founder. A simple design, it allows a door to open up to 270 degrees with minimal resistance and then closes itself by using gravity. Simply bump the doors open and they close on their own. There is no need for electric or air operations. And as the hardware has a strength of 40,000 psi (minimum), wear is virtually nonexistent.
Since aesthetic, like functional requirements vary for each application, RubbAir offers a full array of colors and finishes to complement the settings in which the doors are used. In applications where appearance is paramount, such as retail and supermarket environments, RubbAir offers several styles of doors designed to harmonize with any interior decor, while not compromising the functional needs of the application. Door maintenance is minimal. All facings are color impregnated, most scuff marks can be easily removed with soap and water, and the simple yet durable operating hardware requires only periodic lubrication to operate efficiently for years.
